VINH BAO DISTRICT’S VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTER, HAI PHONG PROVINCE
Introduction
Vinh Bao district’s Vocational training center was established in 20th Aug. 1988 under the decision of Hai Phong city’s People Committee. This center is a professional training center, directly supervised in specialized knowledge by Hai Phong City’s Department of Labor and Social welfare.
Tasks and responsibilities
· Organizing vocational training courses and popularizing vocational knowledge for local officers and young labors those currently are unemployed. Vocational courses cover: agriculture, small scale industries, electric construction and techniques, mechanics and other technical services.
· Supporting District’s People Committee in instructing and organizing vocational training for local producing and business units
· Participating in vocational guidance for secondary and high school students

Teaching staffs
· The teaching staff includes 24 teachers who also are districts’ officers. Most of them graduated from universities or be high skilled workers who were trained teaching methodology.
· Since 2007, the center will be added 3 teachers graduated from universities to be in charge of teaching industrial subjects, electrics, computer
Field of activities
· Training professions such us: agriculture, plants planting and protection techniques, growing plants and animals that have high economic value (frog, tortoise, and eel…growing techniques)
· Training handicraft/industrial workers: embroidering and sewing, woolen knitting, yarn pinching, bamboo and rattan weaving, sedge mat weaving, lacquer, sculpture, net weaving, fashion sewing, leather foot-ware…
· Co-operating with universities and technical employee training schools to open courses of finance management, accounting, office works, traditional medicine, finance-accounting, enterprise accounting, administration accounting, English language, electric welding…
· Recommending jobs for local labors
