Introduction

Dong Anh Continuing Training Center was established in 28^th Apr. 1994 under the Decision No. 6154 of Hanoi City’s People Committee. The center has 4 branches: The Head-office, 3 subsidiaries located in Xuan Non, Nam Hong and Kim Chung Commune.

Tasks and responsibilities

·  Coordinating with relevant local agencies to make survey on people’s demands and propose to organize more suitable training methods

·  Performing education programs such as: eliminating illiteracy and post-eliminating illiteracy, giving continuation education for primary, secondary and high schools

·  Coordinating and supporting for Universities and Colleges to open irregular classes in the area.

·  Organizing vocational training, vocational practices courses, production and other activities that are useful for training and learning…

There are 8 regular, 85 contracted teachers (short and long term) with over university education level.

Field of activities

·  Giving supplementary high school education: public high schools (11 subjects), continuation high schools (2 or 3 years period – students self-study under instructions)

·  Supporting for vocational training: professions at grade 3/7 (welding, cutting, construction, woodwork…); Technical secondary schools (accounting, office works, computer, electrics…); in-service university education (accounting, business administration, law…); remote university education (accounting, business administration, law…); Post-graduate education (granting Certificates for advanced economics special subjects); review for exams of economic Master’s degree; Giving special subjects for public training center.
